Scouting is a non-formal Educational experience. It helps the youngsters to discovers the world beyond of classrooms. Tapping the skills of others to learn and to become well-rounded people..

Scouting help youngsters to develop their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual attributes by creating self-confidence and self-esteem.

Through “Learn By Doing”, Outdoor Activities , Education and Fun!

The goal is to the young for their adult life and independent individuals and citizen.

Scouting is present in more than 216 countries and territories. Since 1907 the number of members has keep increasing and today we count more than 25 million active members. Adapting to local needs and culture, its Purpose, Principles, and method are the same worldwide.

Youth from 7 to 18 years old Empowering youth guidance, the program offers youth from aged 7 to 18 the chance to experience new opportunities.
From Cubs to Venture Scouts, youth take the lead in deciding what path areas they will follow.
With the support of adult Leader Scouts, the youth will shape their ways to achieve these goal

Scout method

Introduced by Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout Movement. The Scout Method is base on adopting human values to create a better world.

A progressive non-formal self-education which includes:

The Scout Promise & Law
Responsibilities and decision-making among small group within the Cubs Pack, Scout Patrol or Venture Unit
Various Activities to create self-confidence and capabilities

Core & Optional Program

Initiated by the Mauritius Scout Association (MSA) as guideline to be adapted. The Core Program aims to educate the Scout using the Scout Method and through through the BP Spirit. For instance, by helping them to fully develop their abilities. Moreover, the Optional Program complements the Core Program by offering a wide range of activities that allow the Scout to discover various areas.

The Mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people with a value system using Scout Promise & Law.
By helping to build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society. The Mission was adopted in 1999 at the 35th World Scout Conference in Durban, South Africa
